I’ve been at USA TODAY for a while, editing everything from pets-in-costumes photo galleries to in-depth investigative series, work that reaches our audiences across our print, mobile and social platforms. Most recently, as an editor on the Mobile+Social team, I’ve covered the birth of the royal baby, the Twitter initial public offering and the 50th anniversary of JFK’s assassination. When I wasn’t live tweeting or Facebooking, I was a happy member of the team that was launching Your Take, USA TODAY’s user-generated-content project.

Your Take users can sign up using a Facebook or Google+ account, and then upload and share their best original photos and videos. They can tell their own story — or contribute to one of USA TODAY’s. It’s still young, and we’re not quite sure what it’s going to be, but we really love how it’s starting to look and the people that we’re getting to know.
